Sweden is one class above Croatia
Sweden is the winner of the last match that was played in Strumica in this World Championship, as the Scandinavian team outplayed Croatia (29-22) and claimed the ninth place. The Swedish players needed a little time to get into rhytm, but once they did there was no way Croatia could stop them.
Portugal dominate against Argentina
Portugal won the match against Argentina 30-26, taking the 11. place in the World Championship for U18 players. Despite the strong resistance from the Argentines, the Portugal team managed to keep the lead throughout the entire 60 minutes, winning the second match in a row in Strumica after the defeat from Germany.
Japan couldn’t stop Norway
Norway won 34-30 against Japan, claiming the 13. place at this World Championship for U18 players. After Japan surprised the favorites in the first round, the Norway team didn’t allow history to repeat itself today, playing great in the second half and deservedly winning the match against Asian side.
Hungary wins 15-th place after big victory over France
Hungary has won the 15. Place in the Junior World Championship after today’s victory over the national team of France (32-20). The French players weak performances in Strumica continued, as they were totally outplayed by the motivated Hungarians, who played much better and deservedly ending this championship with a victory.
IHF officials were guests of Dudin Vinery
Another rest day in Strumica and another interesting adventure for the IHF officials, who got another chance to see the beauties of Macedonia. This time the entire IHF delegation from Strumica visited “Dudin Vinery” near Negotino.
